I'm posting today since I too worn out to do it on Thursday! I just wanted to let you know that the kids start MAP testing tomorrow and finish on Thursday! Don't worry too much about it. This will serve as baseline data for the year. It tests reading, language arts and math domains.
I am in the process of giving DRA (Developmental Reading Assessment) this week and next week. This basically means that your child reads to me and I ask him/her questions as well as assess the overall comprehension, fluency and reading level. The Dibels test was completed last week. Try this LINK for more info. AND we have already had a MATH pre-test as well as a math quiz on Place Value, Rounding, Addition, Subtraction, and Bar Graphs.
All in all, the first six weeks are a whirlwind of rituals, routines, data collection, and community building!
